ROOTS OF RESISTANCE

A Story of Gender, Race, and Labor on the North Coast of Honduras

Honduras trod a path of national liberation at the end of the twentieth century that was distinct from the revolutionary movements of Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala in the 1980s in Central America. Often Honduras is cited as the country most dominated by the United States' anti-communist and counterrevolutionary agenda-"The airport to the right wing!"
